i am proud that i supported that.t went against my party and i was the only democrat to support that plan. i know many of the people received coverage and help through that plan. ms. love: we are still suffering from the effects of the affordable care act. the bill that nancy pelosi, and the democrats said they had to pass it before they knew what was in it. let me tell you what i have done for health care. we passed more than 60 bills. we extended the child health insurance program with the largest funding and the longest extension in history. we approved care for our veterans. we help with medicare advantage part d programs to enhance benefits for our seniors. the american health care act did not have everything in it, but let me tell you what it did. it brought the crop -- it brought the cost of premiums down. it eliminated the medical device tax. it had an alternative that would allow for risk pool sharing, so that those with pre-existing conditions could have their highs subsidized. it would balance out the highs
