i know the current members of the board and worked with them over the years. as they have said and i will say, it is very important that the residents who are currently there in treasure island are able to stay there. i would support policies that would provide opportunities for them to stay there during the development of new housing, making sure that's other housing is developed before we take down the existing housing so they can continue to live on the island and be able to participate in this new neighborhood. i know that there is a very successful collaborative of nonprofit organizations. i know many of them. i look forward to working with them. a lot of the work has been done in terms of building the community-based and the community concepts to move forward with treasure island. as i said, i would like to be able to use whatever experience i have in community development and affordable housing development to make a contribution on the treasure island development authority. i thank you for your consideration and the opportunity to speak here today. supervisor campos
