my name is james clamerty, i live at 45 219th street. i am one of 7dr filers who believe the sign of this design is just too large for this location. i will show how the design will be out of scale for the lot, it will cause a walling in effect of lampson lane and it will forever block one of the nicest public views along our block, that of rocky mountain, now called corona heights and the historic landmark no. 80 on douglas street just one-half block away. let me tell you i know this neighborhood. i was born at children's hospital in 52 and i grew up in this house and attended college from this house, so i know this neighborhood. in 77 i moved back with my wife, also a native. my parents moved in, we raised our two kids here, they went to neighborhood public schools so i know this neighborhood and i know there have been 6 or 8 recent remodel projects along our block that have helped the neighborhood by upgrading older properties, adding additional living space and modernizing these homes. this has undoubtedly benefited the neighborhood b

i like the way you addressed the side with the window on the stockton street side. i like the building and obviously a one hundred times better than the levy building. we're in this legislation issue we're responding to whatever legislation to build that building a large building behind a retail store and this is all one lot. i don't have a problem with the legislation and it being sporadic for this site whether it's an su d. the plazas is being redesigned. i hear commissioner moore's comments i don't agree with her on this one. it looks good from a design standpoint when you're looking at it up close it doesn't work it's a bad plaza you don't feel liquor you should linger there the only good thing is the fountain but you want to move on because theirs nothing to do. i like the fountain on the back that will draw people in. realistically people will be using that it's a mid block plaza that's hard to use. getting at the elements i think people would rather go to union square theirs more things to look at it rather than across the street with the nike building whateve

i grew up on 27 valencia from 1963 to 1974 and currently live on new hampshire street. i just want to say that each neighborhood as you know is very different and unique and in the mission we have micro neighborhood that are blocks apart very unique that way. i think the city plan is too cookie cutter. one plan does not fit all. i think the eastern neighborhood plans talks about not just density, but it also talks about the sensitivity, nature of the neighborhood. we have to remember to look at all the other chapters and not just transit quarter piece. so i feel that 4 stories and truly afford able units is what best fits this neighborhood. what i mean by truly affordable units is that immigrant families can purchase or rent or any other low income folks in the neighborhood. we have seen a lot of affordable inclusionary units that are not affordable to people in the neighborhood. there is restaurants that have come into the mission are not here anymore. they are investors and not traditional mom and pops. most of the neighborhood can't afford to eat there. i hope you can
