want to talk to me colleagues. i do want to express the concern about the dinner kit. it's for this idea that we give access to a private for profit company to one of our greatest assets, the famous -- families in our school. i understand it's an advantage to us somewhat and an advantage to them. i still think we need a principled discussion as far as that. i as well as everybody else thought that's a cool idea. let's see what we can do. originally we had the discussion whether some meals can be reimbursable for others. upon the reflection, i'm realizing there is a lot of implications to this that we should be thinking seriously about. the last thing i appreciate that we are talking about the food experience. that's important. i also want to make clear from my point of view we need to continue as aggressively as we have with improving the experience that we have now and particularly with making sure that our efforts go towards the goal of serving more and better foods to more children in san francisco unified school

to talk about it off line because i don't want to call out any particular officer, i don't want it to be about a particular officer. i want it to be about a process that is consistent for all medal of valors for us to figure out what they want to give them depending on the process that is pending, there is a lot of frustration there and i don't want to take away from the officers earning their medal of valor and i am proud to shake the hands of the officers and see the families. and i attended the moral mass and i am proud of our department and i just want to be clear that it is a process, concern that i had. and perhaps, reflecting back on it, the best thing to do would be to say that i would like to continue this matter to check with the city attorney about how to address my process question that i had. i want to put that out there and i know that there was i commented in the chronicle and they asked me about this issue and i said no comment about this just like i said no comment at the time because i don't want to talk about any specific cases and i said generally i am concerned ab

i provided a detailed analysis for you in the presentation you have in our binders but i want to make maya few comments. i think you probably know i've been here for 7 days so i want to make this brief and to the point. with the help of the mayor's office and the board of supervisors we have an approved budget that's similar to the request with a couple expectation or so. the start date for a couple of positions was changed to become later in the fiscal year to conform with the rules that the city has and to give an estimation of the budget analysis to more accurately match the time it takes a higher positions. the rent was increased to reflect the actual lease that was negotiated by the real estate office including the wellness center and for moving the department up to the third floor. we need and are going to monitor those expenditures very closely to make sure they don't exceed the funding level. the other change in the budget was the professional services were increased primarily for the wellness center. the second point i want to make is we request approval for a carrier forward
