as an i.t. organization within the city, and to your comment earlier, it is something we face everyday, a challenge we face every day. leveraging legacy. respecting legacy, yet implementing technology to meet the needs of the business of the city and the needs of the constituents within the city. >> thank you. having a question for you or -- when you say cloud, there are multiple model ser -- models. let me simplify them. one is instead of building your own data center which companies would do 10 years ago and build your own computer room at generators and air conditioning, you use an outsourced professional data center. that is one move to the court, which is one move to the crowd. the second model, which you have actually used to set up a mass of private club, where you can now provision servers on demand for your constituents within the city. in the context of a government with the compliance issues and security issues and mission critical services which you overlay, that is quite an achievem

i believe -- so instead of mandating a single solution, i.t.solution, we're mandating the implementation of standards each one of those solutions that at the end of the day, you canning a gray gait the data. and it's a both a standards process base and then the implementation of standards. >> e where are we in the process again? >> with regard to the standard financial information structure, which is the main financial standard, all of the erp have the military department, actually all of them have implemented the -- what we call the standard information structure and we did validation for each of the erp on the implementation. i believe she mentioned 90 some percent of terms of compliant. each one of these is a complientd with the with the standards. it's not only the financial system. obviously the majority right now are probably not. is there -- is there a list in dod of those major commands or programs that are auditable. >> yes. it's not commands. we have a couple of agencies that are auditable and some accounting service and contract audi

program that provides departments with prequalified vendors which provide a wide range and variety of i.t. products and services at competitive prices and in a timely manner. the vendors were selected through a competitive process. the original contracts were approved by the board of supervisors by resolution in december 2008. the contract terms starting january 1st, 2009 was for three years with two one-year options to extend. one option to extend has been exercise and current term ends this december 31st 2012. this is made up of amendments before you and a micro setaside program. vendors compete within the technology store. these are requirements contracts, meaning they are available to city departments on an as-needed basis. the contract value is an administrative cap, not a commitment by the city to spend that amount. rather departments may order from any of the vendors using departmental funds that have been improved by the board of supervisors in the budgetary process and certified by the controller. oca intends to conduct a new competitive process for the technology store in 2013 a
