and your internal i.t. department may do it once a day or even more often. and that's because we can turn off your computers for a few minutes and it's really not a big deal. but i really can't turn off one of these positive train control systems. or a refinery's plumbing. i can't turn that off. it may take a day or more than a day to restart that equipment. so the opportunity to patch known vulnerabilities in these operational technology systems is very limited. and so that causes us to have to do a bunch of other mitigations to get around that problem. and that's where some of the work i do comes in. [ inaudible ] -- where this comes in. back in 2003, might have heard of csx had an issue, one or more of their systems was infected with a virus. i believe it was the so-big virus. and in cleaning that up, as a matter of prudence, they shut down or took off line some of their operational systems just to make sure there was no impact to them. and indeed that caused, you know, some ability for them to halt traffic around and even spilled over onto amtrak schedul

this is what would be going into the disposal well, i.t.tains oil, it contains -- it contains oil, it contains sediment. this is after one round of purification, some of the oil and sediment hats been removed. it's a little cleaner, something like chocolate milk, not drink. this is the final stage of the process. you wouldn't want to drink this either, but it is pure enough to be reused for fracking and not have to be disposed of in a well. i use a similar process when i'm working in the lab, when i'm talking about microliters. but the challenge is to scale it up for millions of barrels of fracking. >> do you think it's doable? >> they have one step towards the solution. but every little bit helps. this is one drop in the buckets bucket of a bigger problem but at least we're moving forward. >> i think we need to sit down the industry the scientists the government put them into the room for a week and let them hash it out and figure this controversy out. >> at the end of the day, you don't want to sacrifice your daily conveniences right? you

secretary kerry now making i.t. clear they are working -- making it clear they are working towards a deal . reports from tehran, they are making a deal on the heavy water plant. also the iaea the national monetary organization, has not come up with the information it requested in may information to prove that iran is not pursuing a military objective with its nuclear facilities but at the same time, the iaea saying iran hasn't sat down to answer their questions because iran is so busy negotiating with the international community. >> james, as i say, john kerry's plane is on the tarmac to wait for him to disembark. does that give us more sense for optimism there could be a good concludes to this? >> well i think it shows that he's there prepared personally to involve himself in the process. he has been personally involved at many key points. there he is secretary kerry coming down the stairs. worth noting he couldn't leave last time he was in vienna because his plane broke down on the tarmac. i think he's hoping the
