nbc bay area's ian cull joins us after spending his day searching for these rvs. new spots.t did you find? yeah, andnd it was nearly one month ago that san jose crews first started placing those no parking signs along those roads where people have been living in rvs for months, and the city is focusing on 30 sites near schools and neighborhoods that have been historic hotspots, telling rv dwellers if they aren't moving along within two weeks, their rvs will be towed. this site, near chenoweth was the first to get the warning, and as you can see in the video there, it worked out. today you can see the street is cleared out. the question is, though, as you said, janelle, where do they go? the people in rvs tell me there isn't really a good answer yet. we found a handful on a street a couple miles away, and ultimately many are waiting on a safe rv parking site slated to open near the flea market. it's expected to host 85 vehicles, and we're told that it's supposed to open sometime this month. but the city admits it's no magic bullet and certainly won't meet the overall demand.

nbc bay area's ian cull joins me now to talk about that plan. the official handoff from new orleans to the bay area. wow. it happened. it did, it did. and, you know, it's always exciting. the morning after the super bowl, once the confetti clears for that next host city. and that's what we saw today getting the official handoff quite literally. new orleans officials you see there handed off the super bowl 60 football to the bay area host committee. and that committee includes san jose mayor matt mahan, 49ers ceo jed york. now the spotlight turns to levi's stadium for next year's super bowl 60. and without giving too many specifics, the message today was clear the next one will be even more extravagant than the last one. that was back in 2016 when levi's hosted super bowl 50. and for that week leading up to the game, many of the events were in san francisco. so now the rest of the region wants a bigger role in the week long nfl super celebration. but there's no doubt that football, its audience and the super bowl itself has gotten so much bigger
