joining us now, ian king who covers the semiconductor sector for bloomberg news and san francisco. what is interesting about are rally is that there some analysts who are still bowles, which is not the typical playbook for semiconductors. what are they saying is different? ian: that's exactly right. theirrnings found -- argument is, it is most you can get that open, they are arguing that chips are getting into things that they have never been in before. autos for example, air-conditioning, you name it trade the so-called internet of things, there talking about a secular market expansion. that will boost that in make that p/e ratio look not as promised. oliver: this is a direct growth purchase looking forward? growth that can justify loss valuations, keep evaluations high? that's exactly the bet that some people are making. analysts who are saying, hold on, look at the growth rates. not too bad in the first half of the year but where you -- we are worried about the second half. investors we spoke to looking at new areas, new expansion. take a look at the bloomberg, this is a chart w
