if you do, you can see the way that people across the country, someone like nikole hannah-jones or ibram kendi, if you look on twitter and you just see how people you know, come for them daily and other people to write who come for people daily people are afraid. they're to do that. you know, over the years, i've often wondered and i see a lot of tenured faculty who are afraid. i think part of it is they they don't want to rock the boat. they don't want to not get a raise. they don't want to i know lots of people don't want i was listening to a book on audible other day and talking about kind of what our fears are in general in life and it was talking about how most people are afraid of being embarrassed in public like having kind of public embarrassment. and so they're afraid of those kinds of things, afraid of people not liking them. a lot of people want to be liked faculty and so they don't speak up. so that's one reason. another reason is sometimes people i think it's a little bit more pervasive and that is that people, they don't really want the status quo to change because it benef
