the other thing to keep in mind is the work of the icf is ongoing nationwide. while it might make needed corrections in areas it also presents a one-sided picture in other aspects and dismisses the real experience of palestinians, muslims, and arabs. in working to change the textbooks we need to give school supplementary materials to provide a more complete rendering of the subject. we have found interestingly, and maybe not surprisingly, bias and textbooks is not limited to the israel-palestine conflict but in a variety of history and science subjects including civil rights and climate change. that is where we are, and our work will continue. one thing i would love for people to take away from this is if you live in another state and can look at textbooks from your s, the more the publishers hear from people about their unhappiness about what the books say, the more likely we are to get changes.
