you may be waking up to icy roads but there was a lot of preparation going. on they had -- all the jurisdictions had salt and trucks out and snow plows out. we've seen seen one here in arlington this morning, a plow ready to go to prepare for what was expect today a very icy morning this morning. over the weekend, we did have icy conditions and some sidewalks and roadways were very slick. so everyone was prepared and the office of personnel management wanted to be prepared. we have some video from last year with the roadways. this is a storm in late january last year that just captured the region. too many people were out on the roadways because the federal government did not make a call early enough and that was a huge problem. we had folks -- i remember i spoke to one gentleman who spent about 12 hours and slept on the gw parkway. federal workers are being asked to stay off the roads until 9:00 a.m. with federal government offices opening at 11:00 a.m. that gives the crews plenty of time to deal with anything they may need to deal with. metro has decided to
