we actually have plans of moving one of our patients in the icu out to the floor today.correct in that it is going to be a long day for a lot of people. the initial adrenaline rush of having something like this happen, both for the families and the patients themselves, is starting to wear off, and today is the day that there's going to be some realization that there is going to be some serious long-term issues that people are going to have to deal with. we have staff in place as far as mental health counselors to work with the patients and their famili families, and we are going on a case-by-case basis to try to address their needs as best we can.
