. >> reporter: idris debruhl is a montgomery county firefighter. some of his fellow firefighters say they are scared of him. in fact, they went to court today to ask a judge to give them some protection, but the judge said that's not happening. >> i'm not going to have any comment, sir. the outcome? >> no comment. >> reporter: this goes back to a day last month at the bethesda firehouse. debruhl saw a confederate flag license plate on one of the firefighter's trucks and he got mad. they say his veins started popping and started yelling and calling firefighters cowards and racists. they say he told them you think you have guns, i have more guns than you. i'll end this. debruhl admits to the name calling but says he never made gun threats. the judge in the case, williams, he said debruhl's behavior that day was way out of line and embarrassi embarrassing. he says he does thingt debruhl will do something like this again. the firefighters are not happy about the ruling. >> i guess we can only continue on and try to move forward. >> reporter: the behavi
