unfortunately, that was not the case in illinois. as we look at the next go around in 2020, there are a couple of issues we are going to be up against. i don't know that we are going to get these lines drawn quick enough because of the delays due to covid-19 which shows another monkeywrench into what's actually going to come out. -- throws another monkeywrench into what's actually going to come out. my colleagues believe the maps right now with 33 still operating under a state legislature to draw these lines probably favor republicans again. i think we will find the democrats have done a pretty significant amount of legwork to try to make sure those gains don't happen, but with a very narrow margin in the house of representatives today, every vote is going to count. some folks believe redistricting alone should be enough for republicans to take control, all things being equal. we do need to look at partisan gerrymandering because it is partisan. ultimately, when we look at redistricting, it really depends on if you have an independen
