to two inches of rain and this bullseye of rain has been about 200 miles to the north to really impact usn the bay area. we do have a lot of cloud cover and eventually the rain-producing clouds will start to dip to the stuff and the forecast here as we went through the next few hours, it does look like the monday morning commute you'll be dealing with some rain so let's zoom over hour by hour and pass by 5:30 in the morning and just the start of the monday morning, light to moderate rain and hung up a little bit in the south bay and then by lunchtime skies are beginning to clear. northwest wind pick up starting to clear things out and that's it in terms of the rain. the rain that we do get out of system not that impressive, most of it falling up there in the north bay at times and generally a tenth of an inch or less for places like santa rosa and second half of the week and this is a pattern that takes hold. no storms spotting through that. a dry pattern ahead and high pressure building in and monday night and tuesday we'll have to watch out for gusty offshore wind and even with the rece

those clouds that are impacting us at the moment, you can notice the leading edge now pushing into northwestern indiana. the back edge approaching parts of northwestern illinois. still snowing up to the north up in parts of the upper peninsula. none of that is expected to bother chicago. it is still snowing rather impressively through parts of the northeast. heavy snowfall affecting southern maine and also vermont. look at that. that is a red flag warning in effect for the central plains. this is a freeze warning in effect for northern georgia. farther up to the north no surprise here. a winter storm warning in effect for maine. the problem is low humidity and gusty wind. that does elevate the fire danger. those are the clouds over chicago at the moment. notice what happens over the weekend. a few more clouds build that is not expected to affect chicago. we still have snow cover. that is not helping our situation with the temperatures either. it is a little heavier up through bloom county. and they're hopeful that as temperatures rise we will lose some of that. mostly cloudy this afternoon. hig
