getting your thoughts on the indian election.parisons with china have been made in academic circles many times. domestically, there is a constant comparison being made with china. is this helpful? >> i think it is a very dangerous thing. i call it china and the. people talk about chindians. it is absurd. there is no such thing. aredes the fact that they the largest populations in the world, they are completely different. one of the mistakes that has been made in the economic management of india is this idea of trying to catch up and grow faster and have a chinese growth rate. it has led to all kinds of imbalances that show up in current account, credit growth, inflation, all these kinds of bottlenecks. i think they were doing the right thing by tightening to restore the credibility of the state and the reserve bank, stabilize the rupee, stabilize the price level. otherwise, we know very well from the experience of many other countries and india itself, if you have too fast growth you have all kinds of problems later. >> one of th

the large cap indian etf's are great. to go completely outside into something very targeted for this actual election, check out the market vectors india's small cap. small cap is closer to the ground. these are more isolated, more dependent on the local economy, domestic demand, infrastructure. that is exactly what they are going for. the infrastructure in india is awful. this is where the money will be spent. they've got to improve it. investors are starting to flock into this to play this. up six percent today. >> that speaks to the second etf, which is the infrastructure index. it looks at indian infrastructure companies -- there are foreign firms that will get a crack at infrastructure in india, or will it be mostly indian firms? >> this one is just indian firms. people like that in international etf's. this one is very targeted. 30 stocks. this one will be a bit volatile. it is going to move because it is concentrated. has had the formula to pop over six percent today. this one is up the most. infrastructure is again

the fort itself was full of all kinds of folks taking shelter from impending indian attack, included indians that were allied with the americans, local settlers, militias from the mississippi territory and lots of slaves. about 500 people inside the fort, and in august -- on august 30, 1813, a faction of the creeks that was quite upset with the american policy toward indians, attacked the fort and there was a long battle and at the end some 250 to 300 people inside the fort were killed. and it's largely known as the fort mims massacre in most older history backs. that's how i first learned about it in fifth grade when i read about the fort mims massacre. but there's more to the story. the creeks, like most american indians had to deal with the expanding american settlements in the late 19th century, and in this area the creeks were quite successful, as were the cherokees insuring at least some portion of them assimilating to american lifestyle. so quite a few wealthy creeks in this area owned slaves. they had big plantations, raised domestic livestock and largely were kind of accommo
