currently 41 of our 50 states including indiana require the government to sign a balanced budget. the hoosierthat i represent and develop a household budget aligned with their income and expenses. why wouldn't they expect their federal government to do the same? i have said many times are the various hearings you've had in this congress we do not have a revenue problem. we have a spending problem. we need to focus on raining and wasteful spending, implement progrowth policies getting our fiscal house in order. my first question goes to mr. walker, you have both been vocal supporters of the u.s.e adopting fiscal responsibility or balanced budget amendment. what would your ideal structure of an amendment be? mr. walker will start with you. >> i think you can look at experiences of other countries switzerland inn particular with the debt break. you can look at certain states like the state of colorado with their amendment. but again i come back what we need to focus on is a regional level of debt to gdp i would respectfully suggest were too high already we are headed a lot higher. wewe need to n
