indianapolis had 4 inches of rain. thunderstorms are working their way down from tennessee. the basic weather elements that are in place, warm air crossing the mountains could bring as a potential for showers tomorrow afternoon. some severe storms in eastern canada this afternoon. that is going to move through here tomorrow night. hopefully a high-pressure can clear things out towards the end of the week. more clout than sun with increasing chances for showers and storms as we head into the afternoon. some of the showers will linger in the area tomorrow night perhaps into thursday morning before things began to clear up in the afternoon on thursday and some sunshine anticipated for friday. temperatures tomorrow, warm, showers likely in the afternoon. south-southwest winds on the day. when storms are in the course has, the winds get higher on the day. western maryland, same thing only much cooler out there. scattered showers and storms around the bay as we hit the low 90's. ocean city, some afternoon showers. it may lin

indiana getting showers and thunderstorms towards indianapolis west of south bend, indiana. that is the front that is going to give us a cooldown. it will take a couple of days to get here. we're keeping our eye to the sky over the atlantic. there's noisy activity popping up over this weekend. it's been a quiet hurricane pattern so far. now we're starting to see things heat up in the tropics. this is tropical storm bit. winds sustained at 63 miles an hour. winds are gusting up to 75 miles an hour. we'll continue to see this probably strengthen overnight tonight becoming an official first hurricane of the season. it's going to continue to track to the west moving at 20, 25 miles an hour. looking at or -- 15 to 20 miles an hour. the track right now increasing it to a category 1 strength. this is the model data. it's going to continue to make a track coming up just missing the dominican republic. we have to watch it, especially folks in bermuda to see if this makes a right turn. we could see this make a turn. we're going to have to watch this closely to see how the storm tracks

that's the rain that has cooled. 83 in indianapolis.and 87 out here and 93 down in fredericksburg, 81 out there in come perland -- cumberland. otherwise, partly cloudy and very warm. 70s and 80s, light wind. temperatures once again, flirting with 90 degrees by the lunchtime. by the afternoon, partly cloudy and hot. the thunderstorms, high temperatures around 90. winds are southwesterly at 10. let me show you hurricane bill. this is a massive storm. that's a textbook picture here with the flow. and with the eye, the bends. just the textbook. they will miss barbados and puerto rico, they will miss the domica -- dominican. indications right now, they could become a category four storm, but they will be in the open waters. no big deal on thursday. by friday, beginning to approach bermuda. still appearing on late friday, saturday morning, it will go between bermuda and the east coast. that's good. all the high winds are staying offshore. we could get the heavy surf from it, getting the rip tides from it on saturday and sunday. but this is a

the bow slammed through indianapolis in the last half hour. what does that mean, that means on the leading edge of this bow, that's where the winds are the strongest and the bow was right through indianapolis on the north and south side of town. we know there has been some damage, although probably not as much as could have happened with another ten miles per hour. because the damage goes up exponentially when you go from 55 to 65 to 70 miles per hour. most of the wind gusts somewhere between 55 and 68. louisville, you've had quite a bit of damage today from flooding. not from wind. just an awful lot of rain has come down in your town today. talk about a couple more things i want to get to. enrique and felicia. here's the west coast of the u.s. two tropical storms, and that one right there, that one's up to 70 miles per hour right now. enrique, just the one off to the east. it's 60 miles per hour. and then felicia, which is the strongest storm, just went up in the past half hour or so. felicia all the way up to 70 miles per hour with wind gust
