cnn's andy scholes is in indianapolis with the very latest. andy?happen but vcu is out of march madness because of protocols. the tournament they said before going in had to five players available to play a game and multiple members of vcu teams are not available to play because of covid or contact tracing and the ncaa with a statement this evening about the kans laegs of the game. they said the ncaa committee the vcu-oregon game a no contest because of covid-19 protocols. as a result oregon will advance to the next round. the ncaa and the committee regret that the student athletes and coaching staff cannot play in a tournament in which they earned the right to participate. we cannot provide further details. the issue here is that it appears that vcu contracted the virus here in indianapolis because they had to be tested seven days out before arriving here to what they called a controlled environment. the team is continuing to be tested daily and didn't find out until today they couldn't compete against oregon and just recently received a statement
