i cannot think of a better captain to have at ingleside. one of the first things that captain falvey said to me when he first got here and he came here from the airport where they had no community meetings and he looked at the list and we had, oh, my god! do i have to go to all of these meetings? and he does and i would just say he's very communicative and relies on information from the public and gives information to the public when needed. i'm very proud of our c pad and looking for more people to put on our c pad so we can have the whole district represented regarding issues that we deal with. it's informational issues, sort of like what happened in the articles that cw mentioned yesterday about breaking of the cell phones. that's a big issue that we've been dealing with. we tried to get public information out, educational information like the captain showed you that we need the public to know that you have to put those electronic equipment away when you are on munis, by the balboa bart station. the ears are a dead give a with an especia

we have been really fortunate out in the ingleside since captain lazar, cast nago and captain falvey. he's everything everyone said. he's very involved. he was at the youth summit and it wasn't easy. there was a lot of distrust between the youth and police and there was a lot of misinformation and going forward, i think that's going to be an on going dialogue and i think there is going to be a lot of improved relations between the youth and the community and the police department and i think it's a good thing and i thank you all for coming out and hearing our concerns. >> thank you very much. if you go ingleside right now, it's a list of each card sectors and there is three intersections that they should be focusing on. for pedestrian safety, it really much like downtown, it's mainly the commuter corridors, people stepping on and off. also near mcarthur park. we do direct enforcement there, we have enforcement guys, we have three motorcycle officers and they will go out and put the trailer out and look for that kind of data and respond to citizens complaints. i know we were having complaints about the teresa place. they are working on redesigning the roadway and we are hitting it from all sides getting people to slowdown and be safer. i was surprised for all the nice things people said tonight. i was bracing for a few harsh comments. it's really the team approach and the housing guys do their job and the plainclothes units and they go out and deal with the repeat offenders. it's the crock er park on geneva. it was two fatality, an employee was living and was struck by a car and someone struck by a bus on mission street. we directed a lot of enforcement after that. we spoke

i polled the captains of payview, mission, ingleside and the northern district. these are the most affected by gang violence. they said they appreciated what the crn did what they want to see them more. they need to fill that communication. it also comes down to training and trust, to be able to have them talk to officers. they would address the officers, they had arrested some of them, when there were actually under. they will help the police and the community. under his guidance we are the most active community. of anyone in this country and any department. he puts his money where his mouth is. he tells them to stay out of the gang, and that we have officers with a wilderness program. there are a number of things in the organization in place to start to make change. we have seen this over the last three or four years. in 2008 there were 98 homicides in san francisco. the number is now almost half. i think we continue to see that, as we work with the community. in closing, i want to say that your task force, they do an amazing job. they have the community aspect

. >> good evening, commissioners, residents and visitors of the ingleside. i'm going to make my comments brief so that captain falvey can take up the line share. it's his night. we had a busy memorial day weekend. we were able to make an arrest in the homicide. kevin myers was killed on the walker. partnering with the nevada city police department on may 18, we were able to arrest a 15 male-year-old juvenile and on may 21 partnering with the las vegas we arrested 24-year-old andrew zam era in connection with that homicide. we feel these two suspects are responsible. if anyone has anymore information, please contact the police department, the homicide detail. as we rolled into memorial day, we started our after noon at saint john's elementary high school and the fire department was there. the kids did a great service. thursday night we kicked off our drunk driving enforcement for the memorial day weekend. on 7:00 to 3 a.m.. there were 2 dui arrest and 12 citations issued. it was a great job and we had a relatively safe weekend on the road for san francisco me
