kimel says in recent years, coyote's have become more bold, attacking and killing cats in the inglesideborhood and now her dog. she also says it appears the coyotes are not afraid of humans. san francisco animal care and control says there may be as many as 100 coyotes living in the city. (darya) new this morning... part of highway one, south of big sur and pfeiffer canyon is back open this morning... a months-old landslide on highway one was triggered by winter storms. caltrans announced yesterday that "paul's slide" had finally been cleared. big sur's north side is still cut-off because caltrans has not completed building pfeiffer canyon bridge on highway 1. highway 1 is also still cut-off south of paul's slide because of the mud creek slide, near the monterey county-san luis obispo county line.
