i would like to thak ingleside for offering us spaceo teach our classes. i would likeo thank lieutenant baxter for beie champion for this program. we ma few years ago and he was tryingo accomplish the same goal. i rano him, and we just sort of -- he d me make this happen. he's been instrumental in this whole proc. there are already some really gt language tools that first respos use when connecting with the community. one of which is there hand held devices you can plug o arabic or canno cantonese, there interpreters, there are trainino this is an additional that first responders have in their tool bo be able to give a one on one dit assessment. i think it's importt that have that personal connectn interesting number here is that 13 percent of households in san francisco are non-english speakt is a fairly high number. 21 perf those are spanish only. so i wod like to again just really thankf these first responders, firefig, cops, emts, emergency personnely have volunteered their time to e and learn with me. this is not something that they were obligeo do. t

i wanted to point out that four of our stations, bayview, northern, richmond, and ingleside exceeded our 50% goal. this slide breaks out our focus on the five violations. we were up in our second quarter compared to the same quarter of the previous year in red light enforcement, stop sign enforcement, pedestrian right of way, and failure by individuals to yield while turning. we were down in our enforcement of speed violations for this quarter compared to the same time last year. our vision zero enforcement team that i spoke about earlier was created in june of this year in response to the increase of fatality collisions. under the supervision of mayor breed we were directed and able to staff nine officers to the vision zero enforcement team. thank you to supervisor fewer who was very supportive of our need in this area in terms of budget. the focus of this team is to be deployed at locations in the high-injury network, locations of recent fatal collisions, and also violations associated with severe-injury collisions. there has been a heavy emphasis by this group on speeding violatio
