high heat coming in for the inland areas and we are under a microclimate weather alert as a result. let me show you where these areas will be impacted. we'll have an excess self heat watch in effect for all of the red shading here, mostly our inland valleys and also includes the delta as well as we get ready for this high heat over the next few days. we are already going to see a heat advisory for the north bay, but this really kicks in tomorrow, so today it starts to get hotter but tomorrow is the peak of the heat and for some of our inland areas, it's going to be dangerously hot, as our temperatures today come up to 87 degrees in san jose. we'll see a high of 100 in concord and fairfield. 95 in santa rosa, but we just showed this, the temperatures tomorrow getting up to 105 in fairfield, and 102 in livermore, so we'll continue to track this, talk more about the air quality coming up. mike, you have a traffic alert in oakland. >> we do, a number of freeways closed early this morning. first of all we take you to off live look 808 in oakland, this is the nimitz. you see all this traff

taking us back into a trend of 80's for inland areas. today it's 60's 70's for the city. some 60's right down the coastline. do expect some foggy conditions out that way. 70's for most of our bayshore cities. burlingame at 79 saying carlos redwood city down the mountain view will reach the low 80's, though, as for the south bay low to mid 80's, mostly morgan hill, los gatos, as well as much of our inland areas like livermore and pleasanton will rise into the 90's. again, union city oakland on up through richmond, all in the 70's there along the east bay shoreline. well, danville, walnut creek and concord, as well as antioch, pittsburgh, in fairfield in the 90's. and there you go. the first triple digit we've seen here in the bay area and some time up to one '02 in vacaville. so you can see today is going to be among the hottest of the forecast today and tomorrow will be well into the 90's for should interrupt your commute. looking at the bay bridge. conditions are moving along just fine. san mateo bridge is also nice and clear. there are a few more taillights there. but h

oh, five, the hottest occasions of our local inland areas.h, six for the hottest spots and throughout the central valley. and of course, as the temperature goes up, so does the risk of fire. danger will be very mindful of that. this is our doppler radar have absolutely nothing going on throughout the state of california. we do have this huge ridge of high pressure over the four corner states. it's gonna retrograde and as it does, so it doesn't just heat up our inland areas that also heats up. the interior valleys. we're talking one. oh, five today alone in fresno. same and reading. it was 101 in sacramento and stockton. that's harder than it was towards the desert southwest in in palm springs at 98 degrees, so a future cast clearly illustrates that we have the clouds melting away very rapidly at the seashore tomorrow with ample sunshine, but this is interesting watch tuesday afternoon when we peak with the hottest temperatures were starting to see some of that monsoon. oh, moisture. or blow off from arizona and in nevada that bears watching,

i think stuff that especially our inland areas are going to be looking forward to. ratures cooling into the upper 80's and low 90's towards the weekend, especially sounds like a dream compared to those triple digits. we're sitting right now at the bay bridge. it's a little bit breezy. not too bad, though. cloud cover sitting above bridge level. so we're not seeing too much of a visibility impact for most spots. definitely great. this morning. but look at what happens as we reach towards 10:30am, just a couple of spots. low gray hanging on along the bay shore. most of us haven't cleared out and by noontime today we've tapped into the sunshine skies are dry, so no worries. there are current temperatures popping up on the board in the 50's and 60's looking at 60 degrees right now. we've got oakland, alameda also at 60 nevado sitting at 57. as far as the roadways go, we are in the midst of some conditions out there that looked pretty good in the bay bridge. yeah, exactly. but it's still early and just i wish that we could keep the great conditions all throughout the day.

with some sunshine beaming down that sunshine, going to warm us up really quickly today and for inland arease heat watches likely to become warnings for the inland. the space, all of solano county, upper elevations of the north bay. and this is because the potentially record-breaking heat that will be seeing as we move our way into tomorrow. as for today, abundant, sunshine, hot and dry conditions, heightened fire danger and a little bit of haze to from wildfires burning up to the north right along the humboldt and trinity county lines. we are going to see a couple of clouds during the start of the morning tomorrow. those will quickly burn off, though, set to be the hottest day tomorrow, followed by another hot one into wednesday. after that temperatures really begin to back off today's daytime highs for the central valley climbing well into the triple digits. fresno one. 0, 5, reading one. 0, 7, well, here at home, it's a range from the 60's at the coast to the triple digits for the stanley and 60's and 70's right along highway one today. it will be 80's for most of our bayshore cities gett

but after today, we're looking at a really nice cool down for inland areas. at this point after some consistently hot conditions for those inland spots is going to be really, really appreciated. clearing up nicely now after what had been a really great start to the morning. got all the sunshine over the east bay hills currently and with increasing sunshine comes temperatures on the rise. eventually upper 90's to low triple digits for some of our very hottest areas inland, staying cooler out towards the coast. we're still really comfortable right now. 50's along the coast 60's for most of our bayshore cities, brentwood, pittsburgh as well as kelsey bill back up into the 70's pretty earlier on this morning. so today's daytime highs in the 90's to triple digits for just one more day after this. we are going to be looking at conditions out there that are gradually going to cool down. so that is definitely something to look forward to be talking about that in the rest of the forecast. as for things not so clear just yet. no, not just yet. we just an accident pop up

we will be mostly sunny and also warm in inland areas. 80 degrees in san jose. 83 in concord. 85 in throughreas like livermore. but it is going to get even warmer than that. we're not going to top out in the 80s. we're expected to top out in the upper 90s for areas. 95 for livermore and concord. south bay, san jose topping out in the mid 80s. morgan hill about 88 degrees. gilroy, 80 degrees. dublin will climb into the 90s. your cooler spots will be around the bay and the coast. let's talk about the air quality the next 24 hours. because if you are going to be out and about, talking about moderate air quality from the north bay to the east bay. good air quality for the south bay. santa clara valley will be moderate, as well. if you'll be going into areas like fairfield, traveling to sacramento, there is going to be a heat advisory. right now, it is in effect until 7:00 p.m. solano county, reduce outdoor activity. there is an increased risk for heat-related illnesses, especially for those interior valleys above the 80 degree mark. long-range outdoor right now, we do get brief cooling heading

midst of nice mild day today for the bay area with some drizzle at the coastline because of the deep marine layer right along the coast. warm conditions further inland. but bay area temperatures are really falling in today. you're going to really notice that in your 4 zone forecast future cast shows some of the great that we have near the coastline. skies will clear often burn off towards the afternoon. and that's the sunshine to look forward to before more of the low gray into tomorrow morning. let's get a look at our temperatures. so daytime highs today. we'll be in the 60's at the coastline. where is our inland areas falling in to the upper 80's? definitely a nice change of pace tomorrow. temperatures right around the same as today's followed by temperatures. further cooling into saturday and sunday. some low 80's for your average highs inland come saturday. bayside areas are also looking for temps cooling down highs in the low 70's today and tomorrow and only averaging out in the 60's by saturday. this will be some of the coolest weather that the bay area and the state in general is seen in multiple months. so something to look forward kind of b
