inland east bay, north bay, coast, cooling it down slightly into the end of our week and the start of next week. let's check with gianna for a look at traffic. how are the roadways this morning? >>> good morning. they're doing pretty good. so far we are not seeing major issues on the freeways. if you are up early getting ready to head out, you should be good to go. a live look at the dublin interchange, the west bound commute which is folks heading towards 680 or out of the altamont pass, it looks okay. we are brake lights near 205 onto 580 but that is the usual stuff. we are down to about 12 miles per hour around grant line but other than that, it looks good. travel time is just about 30 minutes 205 to 680. highway 4 is not bad, 25 minutes. if you are jumping on the freeway from antioch to 80 taking the ride to the east shore, that is a 25 minute commute.ha brake lights or issues. right now we are clocking in nice speeds west bound at 73 miles per hour out of antioch and looking good if connecting to 242 to 680. bay area bridges are quiet. no delays on the golden gate bridge. san mat

inland east bay and north bay valleys. you see from the camera, there is that low cloud bank over the skyline. i will show you where we have some trouble spots. we'll leave that view, as cool as that looks. everybody is in the mid 50s except concord. isn't that interesting? it's 46 in concord. concord you are one of the locations that has fog. that colder air and fog kind of going hand in hand. santa rosa 51. you've got it as well. it's 0.3 of a mile now for concord. the north bay, we are about a mile as well. and fairfield is down on the drive. patchy fog for the usual suspects. if we look above the fog and check the mid level clouds, it's gray everywhere. if we play it forward, we stay that way. gray skies, we never really get a break. it will stay this way until tomorrow's rain. there is rain coming home morning. today's daytime highs, low 60s for warmer spots in the south bay. mid 50s for inland valleys of the east bay, upper 50s about everywhere else. if we track the next opportunity for rain, you see it right there.

inland east bay, the north bay and the coast. dryer weather for midweek with that ridge of high pressure briefly building in for us and tracking the next weather system on friday. let's check in with gianna with a look at traffic. >>> hey. good morning. be careful if you are going out the door. we have a lot of slick surfaces and still some rain drops to deal with. if you are commuting into the pass we are starting to see a few brake lights building out of tracy, 205 onto 580 itself. you can see a bit of a slow and go ride as you come away from the connector there. down about 25 miles an hour in some spots through that area. the good news is that the rest of the way once are you past that connector portion everything is pretty much clear all the way toward the dublin. taking a look at the main travel times, about a 26 minute ride, 205 toward 680. highway 4 to the maze 14 minutes if you are taking the east shore, highway 4 also from antioch to 80, 25 minutes and 101 out of the south bay looking good. there's a trouble spot. looks

we do have some fog in the central valley trying to scoot its way on into our inland east bay valleys and a couple of spots in the north bay, too. high pressure id's sits firmly in place and that's going to keep us dry over the next 10 to 14 days. long-range forecasts are showing no break in the dry trend of weather. so dry janeary ahead of after such a record breaking lee wet behind us tomorrow would have been the best chance of rainfall. couple of those sprinkles showing up on radar offshore. not packing enough of a punch, though, to break through that high pressure ridge and make its way into the bay area. so we stay dry tomorrow. just a few more clouds for your thursday. as for temperatures today will be 50's and 60's right along the coastline. temperatures for our bayshore cities will be among our warmest, although the santa clara valley, really the warmest of all inching close to 70 degrees for san jose and surrounding cities. so that is one to enjoy for sure. might even be able to get away without the jacket. for a few minutes this afternoon down in the south bay, oakland at 63

i think it will be slightly better for the north bay and inland in the east bay tomorrow because, thatwhere we will have the strongest wind around the atmosphere hoping to disburse some ground level pollution. once the wind dies down we are back in the moderate category wednesday, thursday, and friday. we will keep you updated if things start to look worse than that because the next category is the unhealthy for sensitive groups range. we needed rain but we don't have that in the seven day forecast in terms of the significant chance. there are some signs that at the tail end of the seven day forecast may be a chance of showers will be heading our way but it is only a 20% chance at this point. we don't put any rain on the 70 forecast. there are some signs beyond the seven day forecast. a new 60 ten-day outlook from the climate production center takes us deeper into the month of february and shows a weak signal. still, a signal toward above average rainfall and a stronger signal further north. we will hope that we can get into that weather pattern around the corner from january 2 vagary.
