as we get into your sunday, a little fog forms along the coast. 70's in the inland valleys.peratures near average. this is halloween. we will get into a slightly cooler day but as we look at monday night into tuesday, here is that weak system heading our way and it is a lot of moisture. we could see some sierra snow with the system. it is the beginning of hopefully a better pattern into the middle of next week. it looks like another chance of rain. this is very early tuesday into the rest of the day tuesday. maybe one tent into napa early wednesday. as we go into the inland valleys, not much but we are looking at at least getting the pavement wet. anywhere from two to five inches of snow expected in the sierra nevada. that is good news. an early-season event we are looking forward to, highs today ranging from the mid-70's in concord. a mild one in the afternoon in the north bay. 75 in santa rosa. 67 on the peninsula. tomorrow, more mild readings. it will be cold in the morning. for halloween, not quite as warm in the afternoon. overnight temperatures will be chilly but trick

so those offshore winds going help warm up temperatures for our inland valleys. back in the low 80's at 82 degrees. and remember, we should be in the upper 70's this time of year sleeve in about 5 degrees above average. there, concord and walnut creek. 82 degrees with the richmond at 81 degrees. so certainly mild temperatures there. but niesha 84 degrees with sonoma in the mid 80's for your tuesday afternoon. and santa rosa and san anselmo. 83 degrees for your tuesday afternoon highs. so it is going to be a very dry start to the week. but then by this weekend by to 10 degrees below average with temperatures struggling to warm up in the low 70's for warmest inland valleys. that storm track going to remain to our south and out in the pacific. so we're going to stay dry there. but as you can for this year, we're going to see some light showers in the valleys on your saturday, but dry weather for the bay area, breezy winds offshore arriving saturday night, even continuing through monday. going to keep an eye on that just because of the dry weather pattern this time o

we're going to see temperatures dip to possibly near freezing for some of our coolest inland valleys, mainly going to impact our north bay east bay and south bay valleys, including santa clara and even most of the bay area coastline as well. so even along the coast, you're also going to feel that chill because temperatures cooling down into the 30's and 40's with some of our coolest innermost valleys, actually reaching upper 20's for your overnight temperatures. so we could actually see record low temperatures overnight for late october standards. this is very chilly. we typically don't see this pattern until around december and even november. but it's pretty where we start to see it in october. but low 40's are expected for those of you in half moon bay and in the 30's for most of our north bay valleys, including santa rosa, napa near freezing temperatures expected there with livermore, not that far behind 39 degrees. so it's because of those calmer winds speeds that we're really going to notice. temperatures chill down and not only that, but also that lack of marine layer. karl, the

the fog spreading into the inland valleys by tomorrow morning. it will retreat from the inland valleys but it will take a little while around the bay and along the coast. i think we will will have that fog poking through goldengate 12:00. if the the wind runs parallel to the coast instead of westerly that will happen by around 2:00 or 3:00 so it will be close to the display. temperatures tonight dropping into the 50s normal for for this time of year. tomorrow we warm up a little bit. we are cautiously optimistic that we will see sunshine peeking through even for parts of san francisco close to the coast. in in the upper 60s for temperatures downtown after we had the mid-60s today. mid-80s for santa rosa with temperatures temperatures 5-10 degrees above normal. this is the hottest weather we will have inland for a while and even in san jose topping out at 79. making it up up to the low to mid 80s for much of the afternoon tomorrow after that fog in the santa clara valley diminishing. the rest of the map normal temperats in the water. 5-10 degrees

so indian summer certainly going to be in full effect for warmest inland valleys. and we're going to see temperatures widespread mid 90's for concord and even walnut creek. berkeley, though, 81 degrees with richmond and oakland warming up to 83 degrees and widespread 80's and 90's. for most of our north bay valleys, napa, 88 degrees, but vacaville and fairfield and solano county scorching temperatures there in the mid 90's with santa rosa heating up to 92 degrees. but cooler temperatures this weekend, 5 to 15 degrees below average could see some light showers for the south bay. but overall, more of a wind maker, then rainmaker, offshore winds could bring us elevated fire danger concerns this weekend, 30 miles per hour or less is expected. so remember, this is a peak of our fire season. it is october. we're tracking hot temperatures drying out the vegetation. all the more for this weekend's wind event. but we are going to see temperatures cooling down. but unfortunately, no rain and we certainly need it. but watch out for their halloween decorations because it is go

you will love it in the city, you may not like it much for the inland valley's. a lot of low 90s coming back. here are are the morning lows tomorrow. daytime highs are pretty good. this gets us up to average pretty much. we were a little below average the last few days so low 80s at the warmest. 72 in in oakland. they are a little below average for this time of year. let's go to the seven day forecast and i will show you the the warm-up the takes us through through the week. there are the mid-70s. 72 would be average. we we are pretty much there. they do fleet week this time of year for a reason. this is a fantastic week for it. even though it had not look like you for the past few days it will play out wonderfully for fleet week. nobody else gets a warm-up . for san jose it is not bad but but it is the inland valleys of the east bay that we have to go back to the low 90s for a while. while. 83 would be the average daytime high for this time of year. this will be warm for early october. northbay valleys will warm to the 80s. thankfully thankfully not too many 90s

so what that means, if you are in inland valley spots like santa rosa about an app and those numbers are getting down there, right? where into the upper 30's and low 40's. so you feel that especially those valleys that are kind of protected from the wind, those tend to cool down really quickly. and this is interesting. fog cast. it looks like i'm not even turning it on, right? there's nothing look at this as we get into tonight and into tomorrow morning. we're expecting very little if any fog, you see one lone cloud trying come into the the forecast there. but that's a story for the next couple of leave that chance of sprinkles in saturday night. but i think it will really just be cloudy skies sunday. we'll have those clouds that's going system that drops by us. but again, it's kind of a dry cold front and there's halloween looking good looking dry, looking like a nice day out there, but probably of 60's for the trick or treaters. and then we look at next week and that's where we maybe have another shower chance. but i'm not putting any stock in a quite yet, but just wanted to show yo

the fog will be spreading out across the the bay into the inland valleys by early tomorrow morning. so some patchy drizzle along the coast, but that's pretty much the extension for the next several days. a more summerlike pattern is going to continue right here in the middle of october. what that means is you are normal in the in temperatures, 70s and 80s, will remain cool at the coast. that part hasn't changed. but temperatures inland, we are expecting us to be warmer, they back off, near average temperatures farther inland. looking at the satellite over the past several hours, it seems seems like it is frozen in place, you can catch a glimpse of where that fog is hanging out, along the coast and over about half san francisco with the narrow channel of fog reaching through the golden gate, similar to the pattern that we were in last week. there there is that fog. it is a deeper marine layer, because high pressure isn't as strong, so it is not squashing the marie the marine later down and compacting it. 61 downtown, 65 in oakland, temperatures farther farther inland, 70s, a few 80s.

this versin of futurecast pushes it well into the inland valleys. kind og at that with some skepticism. such a shallow layer of fog. a t of times when the fog is that nw fog is that narrow, it has a had time climbing over the train into the inland valleys. regardless of how much fogger i, it does look like it's going to back up and dissipate even close close to the golden gate and the the coast as we head into midday midday in the afternoon. we hope hope that will be the case on fy for the blue angels show at 3:0. angels show at 3:00. temperatures tonight dropping down to the 50s, which is normal for this time of year. high degrees tomorrow, running a fews running a few degrees either side of that. the fog might keep keep temperatures a couple of ds below normal. further inland, ad 6 or 7 degrees above average. mid-60s along the coast tomorrow. upper 70s and low 80s around the south end of the bay with temperatures topping out in in the mid-80s in the santa clara valley. reaching up into the upper 80s for los gatos and. and gilroy. mid to upper 80s

i think we will see low cloud cover for most of the inland valleys which which will back up quickly and we will see some passing high clouds filtering the sunshine oy sunshine occasionally as we get through the rest of tuesday with with temperatures returning to almost exactly normal levels after we start new normal. most of us in the mid to upper 50s, the cool spots in the north bay valley dropping to around 50 degrees. high temperatures tomorrow, everybody within a degree or two of this normal time of year. mid 60s along the coast, with mostly 80s farther inland or at least close. 79 in san jose but even the warm spots spots are only going to reach into the mid 80s the temperatures will warm up. we're we're not talking about a return return to the dangerously hot temperatures we had in early september, at worst i think we will be in the caution category for heat inland by thursday, friday and saturday with high temperatures and low 90s which is well above normal for early october and the temperatures will gradually back down into early next week. mid 70s in san francisco, upper 70s in
