for these reasons, i express my support for the project's approval at 700 innes avenue. i anticipate a future for this community with help set forth by build. thank you. >> clerk: thank you. next speaker, please. >> good afternoon. my name is lauren shawnessy, and i'm here to read a letter on behalf of the c.e.o. habitat for humanity, greater san francisco. habitat for humanity is a nonprofit housing organization that helps people all over the world whebuild their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. the commission is to provide local families with a spring board to secure stable futures through affordable home ownership and neighborhood revitalization. habitat believes that people should have safe healthy, affordable places to live, play irregular and grow. habitat san francisco has build 248 homes in ten cities across san francisco, marine, and san mateo counties. build intends to convey at no cost to habitat, parcels h-4 and c-6 on the india basin site. they will be graded with infrastructure. we will construct approximately 50 dwelling units

( robin ) in national news... plans for 3-d printed guns will be legally- available online starting tomorrow. this comes after a settlement was reached last month... but now several states are still trying to block the release of the designs. attorneys general from 20 states... including california... and washington d- c sent a letter monday to the secretary of state and the u-s attorney general. in the letter... they argue the availability of plans for 3-d- printed guns helps arm criminals and terrorists. they're urging government to withdraw from a settlement that ended a years-long legal battle with "defense distributed"... which first published plans for a 3-d- printed handgun in 2013.

it all started saturday night when berkeley police were called to the knights inn on university avenue near sacramento. >> a friend gave us a call and said that his friend had been kidnapped. the ransom is were demanding $30,000 in cash. >> reporter: officers determined that the victim, a 21-year-old man, was beaten, robbed, and kidnapped at gunpoint, then driven out of the bay area while tied up. surveillance video and other evidence led please -- police to believe the suspects were in patterson. >> it is very unusual for us to get a ransom case, particularly one like this, where the victim is transported so far away. >> reporter: a sheriff's deputy set -- spotted the suspects suv. patterson police posted this picture on facebook, showing an assault rifle they found with the suspects. these five men were arrested. there are all from south carolina. each was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, robbery, assault weapons possession, as well as torture because of serious injuries the victim suffer. the hotel manager told me that whitehurst went to the room for about $200. the suspects are
