i did a virtual briefing in the intel committee just this week. now we called it a briefing because we do not authorize yet to do virtual hearings, but it was just like a virtual hearing in the sense that we had two top former officials testify before the committee or brief the committee. we recognize the members to ask questions in the videoconference. so very much like a regular hearing, except done at a distance. now, i will not sugarcoat it, it is very difficult at a distance to do. meaningful oversight at least, when you are dealing with those who do not want to share the answers. you know, the briefing we had four people willing to come forward and share their knowledge, there is a lot that can be done usefully that way and a lot that can be done on the basis of unclassified information. but much of what we will be doing in the intel committee will be classified and therefore we cannot do it at a distance, even -- we certainly do not have this occur video capability among all of our members around the country -- have secure video capability
