what has the judiciary, the house judiciary committee been doing while the house intelligence committee has been ku conducting these hearings? >> well, i believe the judiciary committee, under chairman nadler's leadership, have been, of course, watching these hearings by the intelligence committee very, very closely, because they would be responsible for reviewing every piece of testimony, every piece of documentation, including text messages, emails and other pieces of documentation. so they can begin the critical work or we can begin the critical work of articles, writing articles of impeachment. and so i am sure chairman nadler has been meeting with his lawyers and staff members and members of the committee having those discussions. >> joyce vance, what did you see in the evidence established today that could add to an article of impeachment? >> you know, i think the articles have been pretty well defined as we headed into this week, lawrence. and what happened today was evidence that made it very clear that democrats have headed the right direction. so when dr. hill testifies that s

and so, when you look at the way that our intelligence committee is staffed up, i was chair, we were on china and a lot of matters around the globe, they didn't staff up to monitor these intelligence agencies. they brought on people that were prepared for impeachment, so they've had these watergate fantasies for a while, and of course they were counting on mueller to really deliver the goods. so we've been having to deal with this where this has been in the impeachment committee, as a matter of fact, our first meeting when i brought the republicans in at the beginning of the year, i said guys, this, you have to understand, this is not going to be the intelligence committee any longer. i know it's been frustrating because we been working on the russia hoax for two years, but that dealt with d.o.j., fbi, overseas issues so we were the right place to do an investigation on that. but it just never stopped and when russia blew up in their face and they converted it over to ukraine, they said mueller just didn't describe it right. if you read the report were really going to be able to get t

we know that they have not been giving any documents over to the intelligence committee for the impeachment inquiry. so reluctantly in the 11th hour they release these documents to a nonprofit oversight committee. essentially what they show is that before rudy giuliani gave a packet of what he said was information that contained dirt against the bidens, that he talked to mike pompeo, the secretary of state, two times. so now we have a line of communication. the second time was actually arranged through the white house. guiliani calling up president trump's personal secretary and saying that he couldn't get in touch with the secretary of state. the white house then putting the two of them in touch. so again, two big takeaways here. one of course being the white house clearly deeper, more into -- entrenched in what was going on between guiliani and the ukraine than they are saying. they of course have denied knowing about all of this. too here, let's look at the secretary of state. he has really tried to distance himself from the entire inquiry, particularly from rudy giuliani's dealings in u
