of need. 130 countries, we don't do our work alone. those governments sponsoring governments like the united states, funding and other assistance, un partners, the food program that are key, international organizations, migrations and others. we work in various modes. going into bangladesh, in emergency circumstances, near to midterm refugee situations where refugees, 5 to 10 years and engaged with refugees, refugee populations, 30 years being refugees as well. all of these activities have to be done in cooperation with host governments. the number of refugees that don't include the palestinian surrender of the mandate, for us, 17 million refugees are part of the displaced population around the world, 65 million persons including stateless persons, palestinians under the agreement. as far as resettlement, resettlement is an important but in terms of scale not the largest when you look at protection. the real challenge is to identify people who we think have these vulnerabilities, heightened needs for refugees under the 171/2 million people and do that in a way that meets the needs of resettlement countries and serves refugees and provide some sort of benefit to those who are hosting numbers of refugees. septemb
