has been a soggy affairfor many, not least in these two locations, shoreham in southern england, inverbervie—east scotland, both of these places have provisionally had their wettest november on record, those records go back to 1988 and there is more of the months to run, and those rain gauges are likely to top up even further because on the satellite picture you can see the swirl of cloud, an area of low pressure that will keep things quite unsettled through the next few days, the jet stream steering weather systems in our direction. but as we go through the week towards the weekend, the jet stream will tend to shift northwards, and that will allow some milder air to work its way in from the south, just in time for the weekend. but for wednesday, we have a band of heavy rain pushing its way north eastwards and then becoming quite slow—moving for a time across the northern half of scotland. behind that, sunny spells and heavy thunder blustery showers blow in on gusty winds, temperatures north to south eight to 12 degrees. now, moving out of wednesday into thursday, here comes yet another fron
