i am a 14 year employee at the iowa city va medical center. i have been a radiologic technologist for over 29 years. i became a whistleblower out of concern that veterans were being placed at risk of not receiving the care they desperately needed. and the unnecessary risk to patient care presented by nonmedical personnel practicing as physicians. i observed the first improper cancellation of a radiology order february 2017. veteran presented for a ct to the chest for lung cancer screening. that the order had been improperly canceled by the radiology service secretary. i later discovered that the administrative officer and secretaries were risking patient lives by overwriting crucial submission orders. i immediately alerted supervisor chain, but no one would listen. nobody seemed to care. in june 2017, i persistently reported the problems in radiology. from, complaints writeups about my job performance. the complaints came at approximately my first time to senator grassley. management misled senator grassley with bogus excuses about one patient

you are talking about rural, are we talking upstate new york versus new york city, or are we talking new york state versus iowa? when we say rural versus urban, what exactly are we talking about? guest: that is a good question. you really are talking new york state versus new york city as much as the different states, a rural-dominated state, like iowa, versus new york. in state elections, for instance, that has an effect. what do they think? ofmany ways, the sort partisan gerrymandering stems pace divisions as much as divisions between different states. up to the 1960's, the power of rural voters in big elections was much greater. if you think partisan gerrymandering is that on a national level, it was outrageous on a state level. that was not outlook and the supreme court -- that was not outlawed in the supreme court until 1964 or so. these divisions remain in the state legislature. host: you brought it up, and i'm glad you did. talk to us about malapportioned it. ment ismalapportione kind of like gerrymandering, the state gets freedom to divide up their own political power. who is going to vote, how many pe
