iowa. here is today's numbers. we got up to 84 today in cedar rapids. rain with about 2/10 of rain there. here is some of the other highs around the state of iowa today. nobody suffering too much. one of the warmer temperatures was over around the quad cities where it did get to 85. here in cedar rapids our official number was 84. that is 4 degrees above the normal for this time of year. if you look out here you can see a big rotating band of clouds. that is actually jet stream. the process is already under way to night. a weak cool front has already gotten into eastern iowa. that will give this front a little big push here later on tonight. by the time we get to friday it will be way down into the southeastern united states. this high pressure will set up over the great lakes states. that will bring in northerly here. that will mean below normal temperatures starting tomorrow and continuing into sunday from the looks of things with all the heat and humidity staying well to the west of us. it should also mean a dry forecast too. this is our model indication of how much rain should fall all the way through monday at 4:30 in the afternoon. while we are
