that is a picture of irene. a category one hurricane that much time -- at one time very it plowed through our region with very heavy rains, coastal flooding. it was followed by the remnants of lee. that caused major flooding. that is a picture of what we are concerned with the hurricane season. irene is not on the list this year. the names cycle through every six years and that was retired because it was such a severe storm. the i this year is isaac. the next on the list is darrell. we are expecting up to 12 this season. that would take us up to the l storm, leslie. in the east, in the bahamas, there are some storms. there is a little concerned that this might organize into a weak tropical system. keeping a close eye on it. in the meantime, some thunder storms out of northern virginia, just the west of baltimore. they are dissipating. also, some storms along the eastern shore. not much rain, in fact, none hit thurgood marshall. it was a warm day, with temperatures above normal. of in the '80s. not willing off fa

what i found out was this young girl named irene had been homeless all her life. she had been in like 10 schools. and she immediately was grounded in girl scouting with her sisters in girl scouting. she went on actually to speak nationally on the issues impacting teens and homelessness and she's now gone on to college on a full ride and she speaks eloquently about how just in one year as a junior in high school girl scouting completely changed her opportunities. so it is never too late, girls. it is never too late, parents, to join girl scouts. >> when do you think we will see a female president and will she be a girl scout?
