this is irene. it was a tropical storm when it moved through here. parts of rhode island had wind gusts of 70 miles an hour. most of the damage was not necessarily at the coast, but inland where we saw so much rain, especially in the western part of the state, into parts of vermont. it ended up being the seventh most costly tropical sys boy, a lot of water out of this one. this one came across the caribbean. it was a hurricane off of cape hatteras and came across our area as a tropical storm. the track was way inland. we had gusty winds along the coastal rhode island areas. this is where we saw the rain and flooding going on. let's check on the tropics this morning. one, two, three systems to talk about. the first one, this is called invest 99. put the computer models together, show where it's going. unfortunately, it's heading to the gulf of mexico. remember the flooding in louisiana? this could aggravate the situation. you want this to work its way along the coast because it won't ever become a hurricane. you don't have to worry about the wind, but
