i would like to introduce my family members, and mentioned some of those who could not be here. ,irst my husband jim mcdermott he has always supported me and has confidence in me and my career. he is a fantastic trial lawyer and now a first-time novelist. he is my biggest cheerleader and the love of my life, i'm happy he could be here. i have my two daughters here, they are also seated behind me. of my daughters inspire me to be a better person. jessica is a sophomore at dartmouth, where she is thinking of majoring in neuroscience. , she isin eighth grade a committed student, friends, and awesome volleyball player. i am proud of -- proud of their various accomplishments but what makes me most proud of his affair are growing up to be kind and giving people. i also want to mention some of my families who are not here, my sisters are watching over the internet. they live in europe with their in-laws whod my have always shown me kindness and support. unfortunately the people who could not be here probably had the most influence in my life. my parents passed away, they were both immigrants
