in a recent article called "the voter fraud myth" a law professor at uc-irvine says the myth that democraticand it helps dems win election has become part of republican orthodoxy. through history both parties have practiced election fraud, but a recent harper's magazine story, "how to rig an election," explains how in recent years touch screen voting machines have led to, quote, disparities benefiting the right far beyond the bounds of probability. upset victories that range from unexpected to implausible and have frequently been accompanied by technical failures and anomalies which are swept under the rug as quickly as possible. the harper's story recalls in 2004 vote tallies in 30 states deviated wildly from exit poll data and almost always in favor of bush. in one ohio precinct, john kerry got 67% in exit polls but 38% of the vote. he lost ohio by 50,000 votes. i almost wish i had not done this research because the thought that 2012 could be stolen ha has me so scared i will not be able to sleep until the election is called on november 6th assuming it is called on november 6th. all right.
