the heat index is really high right now especially compared to the temperature. 100 in irwin and clinton, feels like 104 in goldsboro and 100 and rocky mount. these are temperatures in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. it is just so, so soupy, and the reason for that is this area of high pressure, pressure systems have winds that rotate clockwise, pushing all this tropical moisture into north carolina, and that's happening at the lower levels while in the mid-to upper levels, we have sinking air. so, very hot and sticky but we don't have much of a chance to have these storms develop to cool things down. a little seabreeze developing, tiny shards, i take this all the way out to 7:00 so you see what i'm saying. not going to have widespread thunderstorms producing heavy rain and cooling things out but even those little tiny ones that will pop up through the here's tomorrow lunchtime, since tori, scattered thunderstorms start to develop, we're starting to see a change in our weather pattern over the weekend versus what we are seeing now so we are still dealing with that bermuda high- pressur
