this here is an image of irwin. he is he was a state senator in georgia. and he helped organize and found the georgia project, which was a bilingual education that they created, and the georgia. and it brought some you right a little bit about this today but they brought teachers monterrey to come work in the schools. i just find that like a very striking and striking the one i'm looking for so i you know so we talk a little bit a little bit about this with dalton but in other you know we didn't read this for today but julie wise who read some of her work earlier, writes about pro-immigrant conservatism in georgia and her argument is something like, i'm sort of giving it a gloss here and places like georgia, people who are conservatives were actually very pro immigrant, there was a real sense that they needed this labor, that immigrants were an important part of the workforce. and so even people who we might think of as traditionally anti-immigrant were pro-immigrant in this moment. so this idea of pro-immigrant conservatism. latinos also take on this lang
