i'm isa soares. you're watching "cnn newsroom." >>> i want to start this hour in the u.s. charlotte police are showing the public new video of the fatal shooting of keith scott on tuesday. the footage is of new protests around the city. they've been peaceful, unlike earlier in the week. an african-american man was carrying a gun and refused to drop it they say. none of the footage clearly shows what scott was carrying, if in fact he was carrying anything. dashcam video shows scott carrying something. scott exits the car to the left and he takes a few steps backwards before an officer opens fire. we like to warn our viewers that some may find the footage disturbing. have a look. >> drop the gun. >>.
