so, it could be a disappointing start to tuesday, then, across the isles of scilly the channel islesy start, despite that frosty start, lovely spells of sunshine once again. but with an easterly breeze we could see a few showers later on in the day coming up through the thames estuary, can't rule out one or two generally across that east coast. now, as we go through the evening, on tuesday we still keep those clear skies for many. but that rain just edges that little bit further inland and so that means temperatures are going to hold up at around 7—10 degrees south of the m4 corridor, further north of that, again it's another cold start. so the high pressure is still with the bulk of the country but it is starting to shift its way a little bit further east, and these weather fronts threaten a little bit further as we go into wednesday. so yet again a bit of a north—south divide, some decent spells of sunshine after a good start for scotland, northern ireland and northern england. clouding over from south wales and into the midlands, an we'll see some outbreaks of rain into the south—

same wriggling weather front is going to come back at the south—eastern quarter of the british isles is that area of low pressure bringing this amount of rain through cornwall, to pembrokeshire and uncertainly come the afternoon towards northern ireland and on to the western side of scotland. just not quite sure with a waving front, very difficult to forecast just how far north and west this rain is going to come, but there could be a sliver in between those two systems and certainly the northern and eastern parts of scotland, you should get away with a half decent sort of day. that wave and the weather front through monday night, first part of tuesday will bring a lot of rain to the extent that the met office already have a weather warning out about the intensity of rain central and eastern parts of england. but come the day on tuesday, england and wales, if you have got a plan for the outdoors, this is the day for you. western side of scotland faring quite nicely and northern ireland too, until later in the day. that rain certainly there as a playerfor the northern and north—easter
