emma: i think the biggest mistake was probably when i had my first agency, itb.ng it in london. so there was this idea that the company was completely exploitable. i went to the u.s., opened an office in new york, that office went really well. and i opened it in l.a. and then i failed miserably. underinvested, did not bring the right people in, thought whatever i was doing would translate, and it didn't. i learned that the hard way by dragging people there and having to close it. there is nothing like a bit of embarrassment to humble the soul.
