if you've read the book "hillbilly elegy" by j.d. vance, his life would not be totally different for the kids we deal with every day. in fact, last year, when the because he knew i had a helping hand fund, code for easy cash, and told me about a student with unusual needs, and i asked what is it,? what is so different? we're usually paying for dental work in surgery and travel and clothes and things like that. the fact of the matter was that this kid's dad was in the penitentiary and's mother had died, and he didn't have enough money to bury his own mother. so i asked, how much is that? i was told about $3000. ozarksege of the actually paid to bury a student's mother. that may not mean much to you, but it meant a whole lot to that who is now aated, teacher. withal with a lot of kids family needs. it takes a very personal environment to help kids like that, having come from a dysfunctional home myself, and having run were colleges for 40 years, i can tell you everything cannot be solved with the computer. sometimes it takes a personal touch
