j.j. we met at the university of pennsylvania and from a candidate perspective saw how frustrating the job search was. when you're a sophomore you're expected to get the internship that will lead to your junior internship which is expected to often lead to your full-time job after you graduate. but when you're a sophomore or a junior and sometimes a senior you have no idea what any of these jobs mean. i remember applying to one of my first internships that i ended up doing in private equity and to be honest, having no idea what private equity was. then i applied for a job in marketing and thought marketing was just making tv sxhcommercia. i felt there wasn't this transparency into what someone does on the job, what makes one company special versus another and so on and so forth. on the employer's side, i found employers were relying on flying to career fairs which often resulted in many students going unlooked. j.j. and i decided to leave our jobs after a few years, he was at mckenzie and
