. >> want to say hello to j.j. abramsave to dance "gangnam style" to be here today? >> that's why i'm here. very excited. unbelievable, by the way. >> i know. >> maybe you can make a show out of the invisible horse dance. >> a revolution. >> tell us about revolution. this is a really fascinating thing about what happens all around the world when we lose power. >> it's a great what if story i think. it's sort of the romantic adventure, but it really asks a great what if? what if anything went out? how do we survive and the show does a really cool thing jumping 15 years ahead of telling the story where we would be and tiny flashbacks to show what went on in the interim. >> kind of known for the unsolved mysteries like "lost" where there's a lot of unanswered questions. is "revolution" going to be like that. >> there's some mystery but the creator of the show comes in and pitches this amazing thing with incredible detail and basically said up front i don't like long-term unsolved mysteries. he really wanted to get in there a

revolution" is -- well, not the little engine that could because it's not a little engine coming from j.j. abrams's a great show that's managed to capitalize on the huge success that nbc found with its lead-in program last year, "the voice." i think everyone at the network has been very, very happy with how that show is performing. >> there was a sense too for nbc that the olympics hopefully would contribute to a lasting lift in viewership. are we seeing that? >> yes. in fact, i mean, personally, i thought it was a little jarring to watch some of the premieres in these shows in the summer, but it's paid off with matthew perry's "go on" which has been growing steadily and might have not had such a good launch pad without the games. >> although they have been struggling it sounds like a little bit on that thursday evening slot, where "snl" perhaps isn't getting as much traction. we haven't talked much about abc, about cbs, and cbs especially a juggernaut here traditionally. >> yes. part of the reason for that is that it's still a little early. some of these shows are still coming down the pike. cbs
