i have j.r. tolkien's copy of the bible. i had a nice protected case made for it but he had a very simple bible. he was printed in 1947 and it was in the middle of writing "lord of the rings", he was writing "lord of the rings" in 1937 to 1954 and you can see his beautiful well-known recognizable signature on the front but what most interests me about this book is the fact that he annotated this book and made comments in the margins and here in the last page of john you can see made comments comparing it to seven different versions of the bible. this is a better translation of this than the original greek and so j.r. tolkien's bible, the one he had while he was writing "lord of the rings". 1000 books in here are worth over 10 million and actually there are few books worth over 1 million apiece although i have books as low as $100 but that's kind of the starting level for the books that i have. what i enjoy so much about the rare books is the hunt. it's a treasure hunt. it's finding them and also realizing all of these books

it happened in napa earlier today.kron 4's j.r stone talked with neighbors about what happened. we know his name jeremy booth and at last check he was here at this hospital in napa in critical conditon. he was taken here after this accident this afternoon. i do want to go some of the video here.this is a picture of jeremey booth. i'm told he's in his early 20's and has young children. witnesses tell me he was part of a three man crew taking a tree down. they were using ropes to take the high branches down and then booth was the man putting those branches into the wood chipper. at one point it appears he got tangled in a rope that went into the woodchipper and at least one of those ropes was pulling him towards the woodchipper. they eventually got the woodchipper to turn off but the ropes had been neck and i'm told he lost oxygen. he was in the of the woodchipper when they got witnesses say it was an awful they won't forget the screams from one of the workers who was up in the tree.again, at last check jeremy booth was in critical condition here at queen of the valley medical cen

(james) a concord man is being charged with starting last week's fire in the oakland hills. 24-year-old alfredo bautista is also facing charges for a 'road rage' incident that happened shortly before the fire. court documents say, bautista followed another car.. rammed into it several times... pointed a gun at the other driver, and then took off. on top that... police say, he also tried to steal a car. u-c berkeley police arrested and questioned him. they say, bautista admitted to starting the fire - as well as several others - using his cigarette lighter.
