well, earlier i spoke to dw correspondent in brussels, jack barrack and asked him what the key takeaways were from my con speech. well, i think what everyone was looking out for was comments on taiwan after he'd said on the end of his beijing trip that europe shouldn't follow. be followers of america on that issue. china is obviously not ruled. i read taking taiwan by force, the closest we got to a comment on that was he said we want allies, but we want to be able to choose them. but even in the questions afterwards, unfortunately for us, perhaps this wasn't a press conference. this was a lecture at a university, so that weren't too many pointing questions to ask him exactly what he meant by that and whether he stands by instead, this was a platform which he used to outline his, his priorities as a european leader, which are things like building the capital markets union, which would allow money to flow around the european union more quickly and more easily. also an industrial policy to try and get europe to make its own stuff, especially related to the green transition. these are polici
