"twitter's board of directors should put this looming uncertainty to rest by naming jack dorsey bane and evanliams as the company's leaders and let everybody go back to work. dan. >> i don't think there's anything new here. i think chris saka has been very smart about what he's been critical about as it relates to the company. he's not been dogging them. i think with the stock making a new all-time low today, $1 above their november 2013 ipo price i think investors are really -- they need to see more clarity. the company has not done that so far. but i will say that expectations may be low enough now, 26 bucks, if it hits there early next week you may see some bells ring in some people's heads. roundtrip the whole move from the ipo. so i think you have a situation where you have very poor sentiment, the stock is amazingly oversold and you have some catalysts in the near future. >> so, what's the trade? >> listen, this is one where i don't think carter and mike nailed this one a couple weeks ago prior to the earnings event. i think buying this stock right here i think you're throwing something

now, jack was forced out before for evan williams, who's now going to work with him.nd twitter is such a dramatic -- it's like a soap opera in a lot of ways. it will be interesting. them working together within will be interesting. and adam bain, i have nothing but great regard for. he's a really top executive there. >> we were just talking to roger mcnamee of elevation. he was saying they're one night's sleep away from make the right decision and turn things around and that would be if they turned twitter just from a straw for information for data into a firehose. >> yeah, he said that. he told me. >> i'm just wondering what your thoughts on that are. >> there's a lot of direction that could go with twitter. i personally think it could be sold through a bigger company. my feeling is -- i know they say it reaches all these people and it could be a great advertising medium. but seems like attaching itself to a larger steam engine, whatever, like a google or something just makes more sense. it would work better. that said, you lose the innovation. >> it seems so obvious

and then you have a huge twitter investor saying i want jack to be the permanent euro, and evan williamsuld be executive chairman. all insiders. saying the critics are that twitter has had these problems over the years, why would you not inject new blood to save you can shake some things up? it seems thatt for now, investors are getting a little bit of a boost from one ceo jack dorsey buying shares. what is behind that? $875,000 worth of shares. peter fenton and peter currie, but people who are on the board buying shares. it is interesting to note that evan williams, under the twitter cofounder is also selling shares. much difficult to read too into this. jackie tweet that he is investing in twitter to show support for its future. do happen forles many reasons. one thing that i have been looking at is that jack has been tweeting up a storm the last few this newtaking over job. he seems to be a one-man band, trying to prove to people why you should be using twitter. he is tweeting emoticons, share sales, to celebrities. if you look at the tweet about sharesng it has 200 free -- retweets.

know that big anniversary in twitter said a couple of weeks ago that he thinks evan williams should be named chairman, and jackorsey should be named c.e.o. of twitter and remain c.e.o. of square. just because that is what he wants doesn't mean that is what the search committee is going to do. there is talk there will be a board change up after this. that is coming from our twitter reporter, who reported that dick is likely to leave as soon as a new c.e.o. is chosen and that the board in general is going to be looking for more diverse candidates that are more representative of what twitter should be in the future, a company focused on media and technology. i take a little bit of issue ith some of the specifics that bob check chose. he singled out a couple of board candidates he thinks will leave. some of those are actually on the search committee. it seems unlikely that someone who is choosing the new c.e.o. is going to leave as soon as that choice is made. betty: i thought jack dorsey has said he is not interest in running the company permanently? >> he has not said that. nobody knows exactly what jack dorsey

jack dorsey disclosing that he bought some stock. the company signing a deal with the nfl as well. this issue of insiders finally buying but you still have co-founder evan williams who has been selling, so dorsey buys, a couple of board members buy, the guy who is leading the search committee buys. what's the story here? >> so twitter right now is trading $28 and i want to buy twitter. the reason as we talked about it last week on the show, we talked about it as it related to earnings a month ago and i felt that the risk was to the down side. i think the stock has washed itself. i think it could go and i'll call it a day. the focus is on what they're doing. not just jack dorsey. anthony nodo and jack dorsey's buys are much different to what the history of what jack dorsey has done on his transaction. he sold a lot. he has been an aggressive seller. go look at our producer twitter feed. look at john malloy at cnbc. they put out for you the list of what they've done the last six months on twitter. it's been active selling. >> why put any faith in them if they're net sellers. >> i think the guys who right now are in control are the guys that need to as we
