he had name is jackie.she went through inside the fraternity house, what she says she went through. in part you write, when you when yet another hand clamped over her hand jackie bit it and the hand became a punch. she says seven men took turns raping her. she remembers how they called each other nicknames like armpit and blanket. you use not their real names in this report of the men. i'm wondering, what has happened to them now that jackie has come forward with these allegations? you detail how she finally went to the school and the authorities there. are they still walking around on campus? >> they are walking around as though nothing has happened. jackie did go to the school to report her allegations. and the school did absolutely nothing. in fact, even when jackie went to them a year later to tell them that two other girls had told her that they, too, had been gang raped at the same fraternity, the administration also did nothing. not only to pursue these girls' cases but they also did nothing to warn

jackie bensen just arrived on the scene. jackie? >> to tell you where we are, where this parking lot is that detectives are looking at right now, it's a well-known shopping center for the korean supermarket and the unique thrift store and that is where what i would describe as a very strange accident happened. i'm joined now by captain paul starks, and montgomery county police. captain in the last couple hours, your investigators have come to feel this may not be as clear-cut as a pedestrian accident, as we call them. >> that's correct. initially, we did think it was a hit and run, but just less than an hour ago, the occupants of striking vehicle came into the police station and began telling us a version of their story. investigators believe there may have been an altercation prior to the vehicle striking the pedestrian, or something happening while that was going on. >> now, we have a 17-year-old young man in the hospital in very serious, described as grave condition. the montgomery county police department needs the public's help

in fact, jackie is her real name. i was shocked by her story when i first encountered jacky. went to the administration and told them that she had been gang rapeed at a fraternity house by seven men while two others watched and the administration did nothing about it. and even though a year later she actually came to the administration again and told them that she had heard of two other women who had come to her telling them that they, too, had been gang raped at the same fraternity, the administration also chose to do nothing about that. so that was incredibly shocking to me that the administration would decide not just to do nothing in her case, but nothing to warn the campus at large that there was a fraternity that was having parties and holding fraternity rush and so forth that had had numerous allegations against it for gang rape, but nobody was ever warned. >> reporter: it was also disturbing to read her friends did not encourage her to report it. did you find that this is something that is common on this campus and maybe on other campuses as well? >> that was incredib

we begin with jackie bensen at the white house where protesters just arrived. jackie?t shows hundreds of protesters just flooding into lafayette park, headed toward the white house. i can tell you that most of them are young people in their 20s. many of them are wearing sweat shirts that indicate they are from the colleges here in the d.c. area. and you can see, they are gathered right now in front of the white house. there are a couple of people up there with mega phones. they're giving speeches, and people generally have a very, very concerted air of protest. they're applauding, and very peaceful. there are some secret service and d.c. police here, but they're in an extremely relaxed position. the position of the police is let people say as much as they want, let them stay as long as they want, let them express how they feel, and they've certainly dealt with much larger protests than this at this point. there are about 200, 300 people here and more keep arriving. >> jackie, thank you. those protesters began their march near the u street metro station. police blocked
