jackie bensen joins us live from the scene with the story. jackie? >> reporter: doreen, court records show this man got his driver's license back just last month after a year-long suspension for driving while intoxicated. so the 2:00 a.m. collision was horrific. a jeep driven by 24-year-old aman lael was headed eastbound on lehigh. at the intersection of forth myer drive, he struck with deadly force, killing a 24-year-old man identified as chowry of alexandria. >> driving eastbound on lee highway, remained on scene and is currently being interviewed by police department individuals at the headquarters. >> reporter: news4 has learned that aman singh lael has a long history of traffic offenses, including speeding and reckless driving. in 2012, he was convicted of dwi. his license was suspended and returned just last month. lael has been charged with dui and aggravated involuntary manslaughter. he is being held in the arlington jail on a no bond status. live in rosalyn, jackie bensen, news4. >> new developments from the news4 i-team. they have issued se
