jackie benson reports he just received his driver's license back a month ago. >> reporter: the force of the 2:00 a.m. collision was horrific. a jeep driven by 24-year-old aman was headed east. he struck a chrysler crossfire with deadly force killing a 24-year-old man. >> driver of the striking vehicle headed eastbound on lee highway remained onscene and currently being interviewed by police department, individuals at the headquarters. >> reporter: news 4 has learned that the man has a long history of traffic offenses, including speeding and reckless driving. in 2012, he was convicted of dwi. his license was suspended and returned just last month. jackie benson, news 4 today. >>> new out of south carolina, police arrested one man in connection with a deadly shooting at south carolina state university at a dorm there. officers charged 19-year-old justin singleton with murder early this morning. they believe he shot and killed 20-year-old brandon robinson friday afternoon. initially, it was believed that four gunmen were on the campus at the time, right now it's not clear if police are

jackie benson joins uh us live with people who have taken hours to get home. >> unfortunately what'starting to happen is it's getting windy. we've heard reports from earlier today of school buses being stuck on the way home, drivers whose commit took up to four hours to come in from d.c. the time of course of this storm, rush rour couldn't have been worse. >> it was a very long ride home for thousands of commuters headed to leesburg and points west. numerous accidents. most of them caused by cars on slippery roads. slowed traffic to a crawl on route 7 and route 15. ramps on those roads were especially treacherous, like this one. the problem was compounded by the fact that tow trucks to move disabled cars and the plows to clear and salt the roads were also stuck in pacific traffic. >> it's going to be 128 degrees, 20 dpst by tomorrow. >> this good so mare ton spent the evening pulling vehicles out of ditches. >> two years ago, i got stuck in a ditch about an hour and a half. there was a gentleman with a kid who stopped bane got me out of it. i thought i was going to sleep in the truck
